A reading book post

Is week i had to read two book the books was one book the books was called Taran and the Burping hat the second one was Taran and the flying scarf. first i read Taran and the flying scarf then Taran and the Burping hat. Taran and the Burping hat was funing for me because i can be relly easy for me. 

man on the moon

In reading we are learning to summarizes. We read a newspaper article about the first moon lading in 1969. We had to pick out key words find put them into sentences.

aliens love Underpants

in reading we read the story aliens love Underpants. It is about aliens coming to earth to steel peoples Underpants. We had 4 activities to do. they were create a sign to stop to tell the aliens not to take the Underpants. Design a super p air of Underpants that the aliens would love the most. Design a new spacecraft of the aliens. Design a sticker for the  aliens spacecraft.

The Three Little pigs

We read three different versions of The Three Little Pigs. As a group we described what characters were like. We compared two versions of the story. We said what was the same and what was different.
The activities I completed were. Design a wolf proof house for the pigs. Create a wanted poster for the wolf. we wrote what the pigs and the wolf wold have said to the police. My favorite version was  Design a wolf proof house for the pigs because i like drawing on google drawing.

The Lorax

In Literacy we have been reading the story by Druess called the Lorax. We learnt all about the characters.We described the  Lorax and the once-ler. We wrote  descriptions about The Once-ler. We compared the characters. We looked at what was the same and what and what was different about them.

Is weak i had to make a duck then i had to label the boby pasts of the duck.

In literary we have been leaning about monkey. we read stories about monkeys.we watched videos about monkeys. my favorite  monkey is spider monkeys.

In reading we read Otis o'Doodle. The story is about Otis o'Doodle created invention for a animal. After reading it we designed our own invention  for an animal. I created trainspotter for a snail.

the fish of Maui

In Literary we have been learning about the character Maui we have looked at  the similarities and differences of Maui in different stories. I made an animation about the story fish of Maui I found making  the character challenging. I found making the others easy. 

Understanding song lyrics

In Literary we have been learning about the nearing of song lyrics. We listened to two songs , they were treasures by Bruno mars and man in the mirror By Michael Jackson. We discussed and brainstormed the song title meanings. We then looked at the lyrics and what they meant. Treasure By Bruno Mars is about Bruno Mars like a girl. Man in the mirror by Michael Jackson is about holiday.

Questioning

 In Reading we are learning to be good readers. To be a good reader  you ask questions before, during and after you read something. we are learning to ask diff renter types of questions. they are Think & search Author & me Right there question. This week we looked at a photo. We wrote questions about the photo.  We wrote what they could be running from. I thought they were running from an earthquake.

In reading I have been learning how to predict. I use my prior knowledge and clues from the picture or text to  predict. I had to use my prior knowledge about being alone in forest and clues from the picture to predict what would happen hext.

In reading we have learning to Predict. first we have to Predict wot will happen in the story   I found it easy to writing the words. I found it hard to guess what the story was about.
